Potential Projects for Internships (OLD)
1. Trafficgen/LoadGen as VM and Pod - Automating deployment of different topologies.
A tool to deploy Trafficgen as VM and Pod in different topologies.
Example toplogies:
Single L2 Network, Single-Host.
Single L3 Network, Multiple-Host.
Single-Pod
Multiple-Pod
With SRIOV
With VPP/OVS_DPDK
Single Interface or Two-Interfaces
Max-VMs/Host.
Expectation: Yaml, Python, Jinja (templating), basics of Openstack and Kubernetes.
VM and Pod: Opensource TGens, Loadgens, etc.
(Optionally) Ixia/Spirent Virtual TGen.
This work can be used by "Any" Performance testing projects.
2. Integrating DPPD-Prox TGen with ViNePerf for Openstack and Kubernetes Dataplane Benchmarking
Add DPPD-Prox (https://github.com/opnfv/samplevnf/tree/master/VNFs/DPPD-PROX) Support in ViNePerf.
Work along with SampleVNF Project.
Expectation: Python.
3. Result and Report Management - Baremetal, Openstack and Kubernetes.
Currently we have only for Baremetal. Enhance it to Openstack and Kubernetes.
Environment/Configuration details will change.
