Submitted a patch on Reporting Update.

Earlier Reporting was only for Baremetal Usecase. We need reporting support for both Openstack and K8S test runs.

Internship Update

• Deadline for application process.

Application Deadline is on 10-May.

We cannot start too early. Maybe Starting from 5th of 6th of May should be Ok with 2 batches (if required).

Kali release discussion

(a) Multiple Pods (Done)

(b) Multiple Hosts (Dependent of (d). Once (d) is completed we do this.

(c) Containerizing vswitch. Tried to create using Contiv-Vpp, but it fails to build the container. path: Node-1, Pod12 - /home/opnfv/contiv/vpp/docker/vpp-vswitch. 

(d) Containerized TGens.  The commercial ones have Licensing, ecosystem of pods challenges. Requires additional support. We will start with Opensource (through Internship).

(e) DanM. Parth Yadav had tried, and we can have it once he's ready.

(f) DPDK Version has any performance impact? ToDo Starting from 10th of May 2021.

(g) Different  Plugin?. Undecided. Requirement: Multiple Interfaces (multiple instances under multus). DPDK support within the pod. eBPF/Cilium?

(h) Memif interface. This has dependency on Userspace CNI Plugin.

Tried following Chaos Tools: Litmus, Pumba and Blockade. 

Litmus looks promising. We can explore using Chaos along with dataplane performance? This could be one of the tests. Litmus has creating of "Latency" and "Loss"  - not sure how effective these  are and not sure how they are achieved in DPDK usecase.  Ingress/Egress.

This may be similar to 'Noisy-Neighbor' in VNF domain.
