1Development Update
  1. XTesting is moved to Moselle release.
  2. Submitted a patch of multiple minor fixes..
    1. Important: Single location for all container to be built and published. https://github.com/opnfv/releng/blob/master/jjb/releng/opnfv-docker.yaml
  3. TODO (for Lakelse) : Submit a patch to releng - Name of project and patch for the location of the dockerfile. In Vineperf the paths will be: tools/docker/test-containers/prox, tools/docker/test-containers/trex, tools/docker/vineperf, tools/docker/test-container/pktgen, tools/docker/test-container/dpdk-forwarding-pods.
2Xtesting-Launch Tool Status

Done: (a) Deploy Vineperf and extract IP address - nodeport number is fixed to 32323. (b) Deploy trafficgen pods and get IP/PCI/SRIOV-mac details. (c) Start the TGen.

ToDo: (a) Create vineperf conf with the information extracted. (b) pass the configuration to the vineperf pod and run test. (c) Collect the results.

Daniele - will do these steps manually and complete his work.

3Forwarding Pod

Usecase: Service Chain Performance testing.

  1. L2Fwd - This will not be sufficient for multihost.
  2. L3Fwd - Check if it can swap the Src/Dst IP address. Not sure if it can.
  3. VPP in a container - Configure VPP to behave whatever way we want.

Currently working on 3 - reuse legato/vpp - https://github.com/ligato/vpp-base

4Inter-Pod Testing Status

Daniele is working on this.

Completed: Running Kubernetes E2E Network Performance. Plotting? Daniele will convert CSV files to Plots and share.

Learning: Traffic Generators (demo of using TRex and Prox - Baremetal usecase).

Learning ToDo: Using ViNePerf.
